# Dashboard Overview: Live Financial Metrics at a Glance

> Explore the Palladium AI overview dashboard — four live metric cards, a monthly capital flow chart, and a real-time member activity feed for your team.

The Overview page is your team's financial command centre. Every number you see reflects the live state of your team's data — balances, member counts, deposits, and loan activity all update the moment an underlying record changes, so you always have an accurate picture without ever reaching for a refresh button.

## Metric Cards

Four cards sit at the top of the overview. Each card shows a single, team-scoped figure drawn directly from your records.

| Metric                | What it shows                                                                               |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Portfolio Balance** | Total capital currently deployed — the sum of all approved loan amounts for your team |
| **Active Members** | Number of people on your team — the count of all membership records |
| **Savings Deposits** | Total contributions made by members — the sum of every deposit amount recorded for the team |
| **Loan Activity** | Combined volume indicator for the loan pipeline — total loans plus pending applications |

All four figures recalculate in real time. If an admin approves a new loan while you are looking at the dashboard, the **Portfolio Balance** and **Loan Activity** cards refresh immediately — no action required on your part.

<Tip>
  Switching to a different team workspace immediately reloads all dashboard metrics for that team — no manual refresh required.

## Monthly Capital Flow Chart

Below the metric cards, a grouped bar chart plots your team's capital activity month by month. Each month has two side-by-side bars:

* **Approved Loans** (rendered in the primary brand colour) — the total loan amount approved during that calendar month.
* **Savings Deposits** (rendered in a muted, secondary colour) — the total deposits recorded during that same month.

Reading the chart at a glance tells you whether your team is deploying capital faster than it is accumulating savings, or vice versa — a useful signal for liquidity planning. Hover over any bar to see the exact figure for that month. The chart automatically re-populates with the correct data whenever you switch team workspaces.

## Recent Activity Feed

The activity feed at the bottom of the overview surfaces the five most recent events across deposits and loans for your team. Deposit records and loan records are merged into a single chronological list and sorted by recency, so you see the latest actions regardless of type.

Each row in the feed shows:

* **Avatar** — a circle containing the member's initials.
* **Member name** — the person who made the deposit or submitted/received the loan action.
* **Action label** — a short description such as *made a deposit* or *applied for a loan*.
* **Status badge** (loan events only) — colour-coded pill showing the loan's current status: **Pending**, **Approved**, or **Rejected**.
* **Amount** — the deposit value or loan amount involved in the event.
* **Relative timestamp** — expressed as human-readable elapsed time (e.g. *2 minutes ago*, *yesterday*) and updated live.

Because the feed is limited to five entries, it highlights the most immediate activity rather than serving as an exhaustive audit log. Use the **Savings** and **Loans** pages to browse the full history of either record type.
